Lots of nice bucks killed this year so far. Good job guys!
It was dark-30 last night and I was just about to climb down when I hear a deer coming. I sit there 5 minutes and he stops right under me and starts working over a tree 5 yards from my tree. To dark to even count points. All I could see was a shadow, a bit of white now and then and the dang tree shaking. Kept me up there another 10 minutes as he ripped things up. Oh well, today is another day

Great hunt tonite, had several does and little ones around me, I counted coup on a nice doe but let her pass. First sighting was a little one doing laps though the woods, she ran around 3 full times, pretty funny.

Great job Terry! We all did quite well this year. I am thnkful for the doe I got and the turkey. Late season should bring more opportunity and time in the woods. Only two days left till the woods gets noisy.

Nice shot Terry! Its been a vey short season for me, only 6-7 hunts.... passed a spike friday night- same 12 yard run as the 7 I passed on a week or so ago. Did make a little video with my new droidx2 phone- pretty neat. Will have my 15 year old daughter out tomorrow- her turn to hopefully join the ranks of deer "killers".

Not sure what's going on here guys.? I have had fewer deer sightings this year than any year I can remember. I haven't seen a buck since September and can count on one hand the number of deer I have seen while on stand. It is time to change everything I am doing. Congrats to all who have scored; it gives hope to a guy like me that has some kind of voodoo hex going on. Looks like I'll be sitting in the December snow with Mickey boots on my feet, tags in my pocket and a chatter in my teeth.

Deer numbers are a mere shadow of what they once were in my area.
The rifles are surprisingly silent.
Flingblade...late season is for those who hunt for the love of it...my teeth will be chattering in harmony with yours. As will many of those who post here. It is ultimately the close encounters with the whitetail we seek, otherwise "our" "season would have just begun. I truely hope you get your encounters during December. I sent up a prayer to allow my kids to have "close encounters" with some of the few deer that live within the $3.50/ gallon range of where we hunt...and it has been so.
This season marks the second time since the age of sixteen that I did not tag a deer during "regular archery season"...not ALL of those years with a traditional bow...but most.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone...Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all of your stories and pictures.
