Anyone been out chasing ground grizzlies or shooting carp? I'm now shooting a 27lb recurve for practice but still weak and a lot of pain since the surgery. I'm hoping to live my spring bowhunting adventures vicariously through you folks!

I've been out after carp twice and shot a couple; they're not in the shallows spawning yet but it won't be long. Yesterday the gar were out and moving and I missed a bunch of those and hit one. Missed a big gar that looked to be about 4-5 feet long. Never seen one that big here. Recover well! Gary

Been out griz hunting 3 or 4 times now, didn't even see any fresh sign until this Sunday afternoon. I am suspecting now that it is warming up I will start to see more. I need the farmer next door to cut his clover, it is so tall right now couldn't see a griz if he surfaced anyway

Been out Bow fishing a few times on the Grand River by Portland. Have shot 10 carp so far. Went out tonight and shot 1. The river is still dirty from the rain. Am going to go more this weekend.

I'm going to check out the floodings on the Maple River this weekend and see how the carp are doing around here.

I shot my first primitive archery carp last Friday before heading to Marshall for the weekend. It was a 20# female. Very cool experience for me. I missed three others at 5 yards.....oops...
