Gary, Camping is a free for all. When you get there just find a spot big enough for your camp and set up. As far as arrows go, it all depends on how well you shoot. I usually break 1-3 arrows during the weekend. But I shot with one guy who broke 6 arrows on 7 targets. He had more in his camp so I don't know how many he broke during the weekend?
Gene, I was hoping your Elburg was going to be one of the mites. See ya over there. Chris.

I remember my first year. After the first round, I came back to camp and saw a guy sitting on his truck bumper, the picture of sadness... he'd brought a dozen arrows and broke them all in one round! Folks fixed him up from the dealers. Do some practicing and use some judgment in what shots you take. I don't keep score and try to treat it like hunting practice, don't (usually) take a shot I wouldn't take for real. I took four dozen and broke about 8 as I recall. Nowadays I can usually get through the weekend with only 3 or 4 actually lost or broken. God bless the arrow bucket!

I plan on being there this weekend. If you shot at Whidbey Island earlier this year and lost an arrow or two, I may have them. I will be bring along all the traditional arrows found at Whidbey.

Cascade Drifter... Actually, this year I'm only bringing one arrow, a 30"'er. I'm down to a 5# bow and plan to shoot from 28". That's further than it sounds like with a 25" draw...

To those coming... stop by and visit "Casa Capitan"... I spent today turning my van into an RV. One sheet of plywood, some screw in legs and some old sewing machine drawers provided a new bunk, a kitchen unit, and a seat. Some milk crates provide pull out storage under the bunk, with room left for the bows. All I have to do is pull in, park and pull out an awning. Pretty neat!

If anyone from Seattle was thinking of going but is hesitating because of the gas cost, I have a vacant seat in the van if you're traveling reasonably light. Had someone going with but it didn't work out. Leaving Thurs morning. email me direct:
