I may have to bid on this myself just to keep you guys out of trouble, then we can deal on it later when the brides are not there.
A good banquet auction story ... Several years ago at the TBW dinner I had my eye on a coyote quiver and mentioned it to my wife. She told one of my hunting buddies to bid on it for her so she could surprise me. When the bidding started my buddy and I where seated so that we did not see each others hands going up. I was determined to get that quiver and my buddy had instruction from my wife " not to lose that bid " .... after many bids we finally noticed each other bidding and I got the quiver. That club made a lot more $$ on that quiver ...

I think we all have storys like that. Deb bid on a used 3d target, that I was auctioning off at the rendevous. I wondered why she did and she said she thought I wanted it. I accepted graciously

Larry will be there, I haven't heard anything about Gail. It's a bit far for him these days.

I had a great time at the Banquet last night, as I hope all of you who were able to attend did .. I want to also thank Rick and his entire family for the great job they did in arranging and preparing all of this for us...
I want to congratulate them all on the addition of another wonderful new family member... Congratulations Grandma and Grandpa.
Matty, as always was a joy to watch.... She's getting the "Bidding" thing down really good.
I can't wait to see all of the "TBW Family" soon at the Rock Shoot.

Hi everyone, this was the first TBW dinner/auction we have attended, as we just joined TBW in January 2012! My wife and I and our 3 sons all attended, and you may remember my sons, as they were the three boys ages 11, 13 and 14 yrs old that you saw helping out with hand carrying all the auction items to their respective winners during the night.
Already it has been a great experience from meeting Myron, Steve and Jerry at the Sportsman Show, to having Myron take the boys and I out to harvest several of our own vine maple and hazel wood staves that will be turned into selfbows several months down the road, to spending two different afternoons (several hours each time) with Jay at his bow making barn in Fall City, learning about becoming young bowyers.
To top it off, my oldest son Brent was shocked to be the recipient of Ken's (elkKen) extreme generosity that night at the auction, when after Ken bought a beautiful (Osage/bamboo)longbow at the auction from RudderBows, he turned around and after the auction gave the bow to my 14 yr son. Wow! Thank you Ken for the gift of the bow and your generosity! Neither went unnoticed.
We are looking forward to attending the Rock Shoot and getting to know more of you on this fun journey.
