Thanks guy's. I had ripped up my back a day before. Went to the bone cruncher and got dropped off at home. Treestand was out of the question and I was pouting on the couch, late November and I could barely walk, sit or stand. -25, sunny with a wind out of the south, the perfect recipe for the travel route behind the house. A half hour later I was off the couch and dressed, black Carhartt bibs and some KOM, my longbow, a lawnchair in the willows and tried to get comfortable. This buck walked in front of me less than 5 minutes later, you need to take what the hunting God's give you and I was fortunate in that regard. He was close enough that even I couldn't mess it up. 20-25 yards, maybe 40 yard recovery. Terry

broadside, looking straight away from me, looking out into the slough and into the wind. I was sitting in some willows, way too simple and proves that I usually over analyze every set up. It was actually perfect, no time for the area to become scent contaminated, he was providing all the sound cover for me, he was busy raking trees as I set up. I stumbled into the entire situation totally unaware of anything. I was just going to sit outside, nothing more. I took my bow just because.... Terry
