You can warm up in LA and come up to Medicine Hat for a chance to win a $1000 in our iron buck competition on the 28th of January at our F&G show. Unfortunately we have to compete with the wheelies but I plan on giving Bert n Brad all they can handle in the trad division. The winner of that gets all the rum they can handle at my kitchen table...haha
Where can I find the details on the LA shoot?

Scott, Better put in some overtime, that Brad guy is deadly. If nothing else we will expose a few more people to the stick Bert.

lol...deadly...get lucky when all the stars are alligned Bert just like you.....but us trad guys will have to put a few through the hole...think I will be trying with a Bear bow..seeing it is "2012" which is the year of the Bear for me...besides if I used one of my Quartermoon bows it wouldn't be fair to those compound shooters...because ...."No Critter is Safe in the woods, when your packin a Quartermoon Bow "
To you other fellas believe it or not with three of Bert's bows I bought..... I took an animal the very first time I hunted with them..with a guarantee like that...you gotta have one...

Currently there are shoots in Loydminster on the 8th, Lethbridge on the 20th, and Medicine hat 28th.

Just to clarify, the "Iron Buck" competition in Med.Hat is not really an "organized" shoot, it is part of their annual measuring day and I think the extra money they raise goes to the foodbank but am not sure. Scott maybe you can shed some light on this, thanks. Bert. Posts: 740 | From: Alberta, Canada | Registered: Jan 2006

The Iron Buck is part of our F&G Sportsman Show. There's hunting and fishing exhibitors, horn measuring, elk calling, ect. There's a little bit of everything, the iron buck pays out $1000 in prize money, cost to shoot is $5-$15 depending on how many arrows you want to shoot. In the past we've only ever had Bert and Myself shoot trad gear so us trad guys are lumped in with the wheelies. If enough trad shooters show up we'll have to have a little "side betting" going on to make it interesting. Or maybe I can beat the bushes and shake out some sponsored prize money.
