There's a possibility I may be sent to New Orleans for awhile for work and am wondering if there are any archery ranges in the area that would allow me to practice while there. Thanks for any info.

Not sure about New Orleans. But there are some ranges in Baton Rouge.Artac leaves a 3d range set with some moving targets all the time.Nice uphill and downhill shooting. They have a website you can check out.

The only indoor range I know of is at one of sporting goods stores in Metairie and its better than nothing, but you'll feel like you're shooting in someone's storeage closet. I think its mainly there for tuning compound bows. The ARTAC range in Baton Rouge is the best around. If you know when you're coming there may be a 3D shoot scheduled.

I'll be in New Orleans from the 9th through the 25th of March and plan on bringing one of my takedown bows. ARTAC sounds like something I could be interested in, especially if I can shoot with a handfull of the locals who frequent this forum.

Sorry for the late reply, folks. Turns out I never got to go to New Orleans and completely forgot about this post til now. Either way, I sure appreciate the info.
It's now looking like I may get sent to Lafayette for about 3 weeks. Anyone have any info on places to shoot in and around Lafayette, indoor or outdoor? May just start a new thread about that since the original title asks about the New Orleans area....
