The set in the auction is cool and unique..........but My pal Joe has a factory brown set and so did Al Reader. I don't remember the color of the tips however. I will be with Joe next week and I will take pics of his set and post them here. ........Philip

Philip just for conformation, did you personally see Al Readers set as well as your friends? I want to edit the listing for the limbs to reflect any new info as soon as possible so that is as accurate as it can be with items this rare. I did as much research as I possibly could on the web and asked around for a couple of years and never heard of any others. Your info is part of the invaluable wealth of knowledge only availabe on couple of the history and collecting sites. Thanks for any input. Greg

Greg, I should have mentioned this in my earlier post. I'm talking Grayling limbs , not Gainseville. Yes I seen and held them personally. I do remember black tips. Will post pics. Congratulations on the handle sale! A magnificent piece. ........Philip
