My friend asked about something called French Oil. He said it was something made up of linseed oil and other products, which supposedly was a great coating for wooden arrows.

Maybe French Polish?
Try this on the bowyers bench, Lots of guys use that for bows and arrows I think.They can give you the make-up

French polish is half linseed oil and half shellac, I believe. Used on gunstocks a lot back in the day.

If you want to speed up the drying time add Jap drier it works great. Ron.
