I have to admit I'm not a member of TAO. However, I am an active member of both TBW and the Professional Bowhunters Society [as an associate member].....
I came to see if there was any active discussion going on here about the up-coming PBS banquet to be held in Portland OR on March 22-25th at the Red Lion on the Columbia River at Janzen Beach.
I must admit. I was surprised to see virtually nothing posted here .... Come on guys, there have to be PBS members from Oregon. I know "Snag", Dave and Nancy Doran, along with Norm Johnson are members... I'm sure there must be more ?
If not? I invite you to come and join in... You need not be a member to attend. However we'd be happy to have you join us.... For those interested, membership is only $35 per year to be an "Associate" member [which I am].
We will have seminars just about continually Friday and Saturday. These will be given by many notable speakers discussing a variety of bowhunting topics..One of the speakers you may recognize will be Gene Wensel [ Barry will be there also ]..
There will also be nightly Banquets with a lot of "Elbow Rubbing" and Stories being told around the various tables, not to mention the silent auctions for guided hunts, excellent Custom Made donated Bows, arrows, custom made knives, and some of the nicest Framed bowhunting prints you can emagine. [Which were donated by Gene Wensel.] Along with all of this, there are also 100's of excellent "Member Donated" raffle prizes to be had...
BTW, as I live close, [ just up the road about 18 miles near Woodland WA ] I have volunteered to recieve any and all donations [not cash] sent prior to the banquet of behalf of the membership.
We are especially hoping manufactures, vendors, bowyers, and shop owners will possibly add to our list of donated items.
If any of your members have something nice taking up space that you are not using, or tired of looking at, and you think it's something others may enjoy owning? You are encouraged to send it our way or bring it along as you come to join in on the festivities. We will gladly add it to one of the raffle tables.
Those interested in seeing what the PBS is all about are encouraged to visit our web site at probowsociety.net....You'll find a lot of great info and topics relating to bow hunting there... Please, CHECK US OUT !!
Thanks'... and if you do want to send something my addrress is:

Looking at the blue ticket order form online, I see I need to check one of the following: Life, regular, or associate. I am not member, nor is my father-in-law. Can I still order our Saturday night banquet tickets without being a member?
Thanks!

The info I'm receiving says "there will be reserve seating available"... Sign up is either at the door of the banquet or at the front desk??? We'll have to look around and find it..
I'm signed up for both Friday and Saturday nights banquet dinners and events...
I'm getting pretty excited now as some 160++ items have arrived at my home alone, as donations.
That does not include many of the Custom Bows being made and donated along with numerous US, Alaskan, and African hunts also being donated as auction items for this "Special 50th Anniversary Banquet".
This is gonna' be fun... Can't wait to start meeting and shaking hands with guys I have not met in person... Yes your one I'm looking forward to meeting!
Gene

I called the pba and got ahold of the lady there and she said to join online and then get tickets from her. Happy to be able to come.
