Anybody draw any special tags?

My two sons and I struck out completely...0 for 15 in the draw this year.

I personally know two guys that drew sheep tags. This was my 40th year applying for a sheep tag, guess I'll keep trying again next year.

I drew a bow elk tag. Still building pts for deer. I was hoping you'd draw that sheep tag this year Ron.

Maybe if I had a mailing address in the county where I apply for a sheep I might get some love! [readit]

I didn't apply for any this year, even forgot to get my point savers. I have 9 for antelope but I can't complain I drew the first year I applied. I don't know if they still use the same system but it was 75% of tags are given on preference points and 25% on a lottery basis. I should have enough points to take my son on a muzzleloader antelope hunt next year. I've hunted strictly general season tags for the past few years and now that I've gone back to bowhunting even the units on the east side that I hunt are general season. I'll be hunting Silvies for elk and deer next year.

As far as the sheep go they need to stop giving out of state tags but they make too much money on them. If the numbers are where it's that hard for a resident to get a tag then they shouldn't give them to non residents.

LOL, I don't think those are the ones I'm after. I would like to come over and chase some buffalo though.

Oregon had millions of domestic sheep roaming eastern Oregon about 112 years ago, and thanks to the meadow maggots and their diseases our wild bighorn populations disappeared. [Frown]
