guys and gals, for those of you that haven't been, or haven't heard from others we have one of the really premier locations for bowhunting eastern turkeys in the U.S.
It's a normal thing to sit on the big porch in camp and hear twenty or thirty birds gobblin' from the roost....
Kelsey Surtees and Larry have both been and can attest to teh quality of the property.
Jeff Johnston, the editor of American Hunter Magazine (NRA) makes an annual pilgrimage to Hog Heaven for turkeys- though he can hunt practically anywhere!
I'm working on some special events for this hunt- I'm speaking to a world-class knapper about coming in and doing a workshop during the event, between turkey and hog hunts...maybe you'll get to knap a head, mount it to a river cane shaft and kill your bird with it!
Shotguns are allowed for the turkeys. We're seeing a very successful nesting season this year..and I'm going all out for this special hunt with an oyster roast to kick things off!

I can now inform you that among other surprises, world-renowned knapper Woody Blackwell will be in attendance- giving daily clinics and assisting those who wish to attend with the art of making hunting points.
We'll also have some river cane shafting and other materials so you can try your hand at building and using a stone point to take your pig before the hunt ends!
Just as an aside, we've entered into an agreement with Woody to do five or six of these events spread throughout our hunt calendar so be on the lookout for that.

Here are a couple of Woody's pieces, in case you aren't familiar with his work
I'd also point out Woody is one of the nicest human beings I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and spending time in the woods with- you'll enjoy his company.
He also makes a mean quacamole!

I'm going to also start this hunt on Thursday afternoon to allow time to roost birds and maybe get a shot at a pig - so we can hit the birds beginning early Friday morning and the hunt will run through Sunday afternoon...
Lodging, calling and guiding if you wish us to, food, snacks, water, and trophy care including a walk in cooler and unlimited ice for your trip home...all you need to do is get there and pay for your license- we've got the rest covered.

If turkeys don't trip your trigger you can just hunt pigs...whatever makes you happy!
