I had a chance to get out hunting last Sunday afternoon (10/20/13) This buck showed up at 6:30. Things happened quickly! I heard a soft crunch back over my right shoulder. I glanced back and could see him at about 25 yds and closing. My bow was hanging on a branch on my left. Somehow, I managed to get my bow in my hands and turn my feet a bit on my stand without him seeing me. He stopped, giving me a 7 yd shot! The bow is a vintage 46# Damon Howatt Hi Speed, Goldtip 35-55 arrow and a Zwickey Eskimo 2 blade broadhead. Field dressed weight was 188 lbs.

Congratulations on a very nice buck...I just got a older Damon Howatt last week for my birthday(turned 50 on the 18th)and it looks just like yours and it's also a Hi-speed withn the curved accent...Mine is 45#@28" and 58" long...I put the black velcro on as well and made a couple stings and puffs...It's a very fast bow from what I can see and I also plan to hunt with it ...I fell in love with the riser and grip instantly..Just hope I can have the same kind of blessing as you did [archer]
