i know i know, many including myself like the looks of a nice wood riser better than the metal ones. as i work on my DAS knock-off i can't help to think that the T-6 6061 that i am working with is kind of pretty with all the machining marks on it........sure would not want to take it in the woods looking this shiny (LOL)! this pic was taken a couple of days ago when i was squaring up the riser block and limb pads.......it is starting to look like a riser now (sure takes a while when you are designing and building at the same time)
