I don't know the exact name but there is a guy on e-bay called Young Falcon that had some nice points for sale on his e-bay store. Check there....

If you buy heads on **** make sure to ask if they are suitable for hunting and make sure they meet your states minimum width requirement (usually 7/8" but sometimes 1") and also that they are not barbed.

I checked **** before and haven't seen much besides the hacked out flakes somwhat shaped like a head. I got some preforms on there before and have pressure flaked a few heads. not knowing what I'm doing I'm not sure if they are good enough to hunt with. They seem ok but I worry they are to thick or not sharp enough.

I'd love to take a deer with all primative equipment. Hopefully with all home made stuff eventually.

If someone comes up with someone who sells them I'd like to get some... if for no other reason than seeing how mine compair to it.

Jason, there's a knap-in near Zanesville on Sept.1 and 2. It's not that far from you. You can buy knapped heads, raw material, or sit around and watch some very skilled guys at work. They have classes and lots of Trad vendors. Do a google search for Flint Ridge Ohio knap-in. I'm planning on being there on Sunday.

Just give me the word Doc. I'm tryin to entice Mickey to come up since it's only about 2 hrs or so from him, and Jason as well.
With the post office having those boxes where you pay one price for any weight, it won't be expensive to ship it.
I know last year some of the guys there had heat treated material for sale reasonable.
How many pounds would you be looking for? Also what type?

Kenny,
I'll have to check the schedule for the weekend. It wouldn't be that bad of a trip for sure. I've been through there a bunch. If I can get it past the wife I'll try to make it up there for Sunday. Problem is I'm headed out this friday for a week in Canada fishing. So I'll have to see.

Thanks for the heads up

Thanks Ferret I will keep that in mind.It seams a bit strange that so many guys knap but it is very hard to find someone to make me some.I am trying myself but as other have pointed out it would be nice to have some to compare my heads with.
Cheers KIM
