Been thinking about trying some of these arrows. They come 32" long. When tuning do you cut them from the front or back?I know they are tapered so I don't know if you could cut too much of the taper off.I shoot a 51#@28 BW with D97 string.Would I need to front load the Trads? Also, what is the OD at the point?

Thanks

You need to cut them from the front not the taper. I shoot mine with comparable bow weights with 175 to 200 up front not including the stock adapter. I have not had an issue in tuning these arrows. I am not sure of the OD but I can measure it later.

I think it was Big Ron who turned me on to them last year at the Sweat. Best tidbit I've picked up in a long time. Cut mine to 29", 100gr. steel insert with 125gr BH. All total 630grs out a 63# Chastain Wapiti. Nothing but a Chartruese ball headed down range! [thumbsup]

Thanks Big Ron! [clapper]

Normally when I order them I ask that they be cut to my draw length, from the supplier.

No problems what so ever tuning them [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

Cut from the front. They take very little tuning. If anything, they generally need some front weight like the 100 gr insert mentioned. I've shot them for years. Never found a better arrow for my set-up's. CK

When I shoot the Trads I preffer to leave them full length even though my draw is only 28" . The extra length does not mess with the spine for me , you will have to check yourself however.
One of the reasons I like the length is for weight.

They are a great shooting arrow, easy to tune, with perfect arrow flight and also very forgiving, but I wish the Trad Lites were a bit more durable. Just need to be more careful, I guess.
