Semper Fi , Rich and to all our brothers and sisters - active, retired, former, and/or reserve, plus dependants (They also serve who wait for us). May the 232 Birthday be good for you all and may life bring you all you would like to achieve - and deserve so richly to accomplish.

Happy Birthday USMC I am reminded on this day of my favorite line in the Marine Corps hymn "If the Army and the Navy ever look on Heaven's scenes, They will see the streets are gaurded by United States Marines." Why because, to me, this proves Semper Fidelis is more than two words in Latin. Once Again Happy 232nd Birthday, and MANY, MANY more.

1968-1974 ... and I still have strongly mixed emotions and always will. War sucks. Warriors, being you, too often are victims of the war-suckers. But heroes are heroes and we can and should be able to celebrate our warriors without celebrating the horror they were and are forced into. Indeed, "Always Faithful" ... to one another, past, present and future. Like Abbey said so wisely: "I love my country always. I love those who run my country only when they deserve it."
