Orion: It's a combination of both. I recurved the a bit with dry heat and took it a little bit further with the tip overlays.

Finally got around to getting a picture of my father drawing the bow. Though looks like he'll need to work on getting it to a full anchor...ha!
I know he's much stronger than me, probably just needs to gain confidence in the bows durability... At least you get the idea...
