It's been a really slow year for me, so far. Last night, this old girl and a couple of more came by me at about 12 yrds. about 30 min. before dark. The shot felt good, but the old girl went ballistic at the shot, and swapped ends. Thankfully, the arrow took her through the diaphragm and through the liver. I let her lay about 5 hrs. before tracking and found her about 80yrds. from my stand. I used my SAIII BW 57#@27" and Carbonwoods with 225gr. Woodsman heads up front. Backstraps for supper tonight!!! Thank you, Lord!!!

Congratulations! Good call on waiting with a questionable shot. Very possibly saved yourself a long trail or even a lost animal. Even if she did die right away she wasn't going to go anywhere anyway!
