Dang Tim, small world. We come down every March or April to enjoy the largemouth action. I'm always trying to talk the guys into a bowfishing day. We stay at Blacks Camp, and have launched out of Rocks pond before. The guy we go down to see also lives in Summerville.

Tippit, it would be a couple three hours from Aiken, but bring your tent and we'll tell a few lies. It really is a great shoot with a bunch of good ol' boys.
Hogtamer, I can attest to that... those boys that live on the other side of the river just ain't right... Posts: 178 | From: Pageland, SC | Registered: Aug 2004

now that we've all had the chance to catch up with each other....let's talk pig hunting in the Charleston, SC area. my sister is having a tough time finding a place and things aren't any better on our end. we hear stories about the south being over run with pigs so there's gotta be a place somewhere close to where we're coming too. come on guys...THINK....PLEASE. sswv, Carolina hogs are tough,,, not saying they can't be killed, but it seems we have just enough of them to be aggravating. In my area we bait them for about two months and then you can kill one or two... after that they come in at three in the morning. To be honest with you, if you kill any big game animal in S.C. with a stickbow you have done something! Good luck though... Posts: 178 | From: Pageland, SC | Registered: Aug 2004

I'm in St. Matthews, about 35-40 minutes north of Eutawville. I'm definitely gonna try and make the shoot. I'm new to this area and this is the first I've heard of it. As for hogs, I've seen plenty of sign in the swamps and along the river, but no hogs. I hope to meet some of you guys there.

Danny, Call Ray Hammond. I haven't hunted at his place, but I here nothing but good reports. I would think It would be about an hour or hour and a half from charleston. I can say that there are a lot of pigs in that area. Don
