thanks guys.

Jamie this jacket took 4 hides to make.
one for each sleeve + the tassels and then one for the front and one for the back, i used them up right so that the backbone ridge of the hide runs on my spine as it would on a deers.

Matt I did not tan the hide's myself [Frown] living in the UK for the last few years has prevented that, but now im here in the states ill kill a few deer and the next one will be a tradbow killed brain tanned jacket.

as for the pattern well i can't help you there, i kind of winged it from a few long sleeve shirts i had. then what i did was trace them up onto some cheep bed sheets i got from walmart, cut it out and sewed them up and through trial and error i modified it to fit well, then i marked the joins (shoulder, color, sleeves etc) once i had it how i wanted i took it apart and traced out the pieces to the leather, then spent days sewing it up with TS1 bow string lol and number 8 glovers needles with whipstitch .

as for the hides i washed them and then smocked them to darken the color and to stop it going hard if it gets wet. also spent a lot of time stretching them out as best i could.

next are the pants [readit] [archer] [wavey]
