OK... My 6 year old is bugging me to get ready for the next "tradishunul shoot". She is kindof picky (which does not bode well for the future... anyways) she wants a bow 'like daddy's'. Last year I got her one of those 'lil brave fiberglass bows, however she made me paint it pink. Its about 10 pounds, which is now moving on to her little sister.
The problem is she is really small for her age, and 10-15 pounds is really maxing out for her. I cannot find a fiberglass laminate, traditional looking bow in that poundage range... Any ideas where they are?

Saw some really nice looking kids bows at the predator booth at K-Zoo this weekend. Might check his website.

Check out Bob Sarrels website at Sarrels Archery. He is a sponsor on Tradgang. He makes a kids bow that is really neat looking and the maximun draw weight is 20#. He sells them for $175.00. Here's his website sddress:

Martin has a childerns recurve called the Protogy. It is a recurve, and nicely made. I have one my son used when he started shooting with me. His is a 15# draw weight.

I was at the K-zoo show this weekend. Elk Ridge had the best selection of great youth bows I've ever seen. So impressive that I grabbed a biz card because I know I'll be buying some in the future. I am sure other youth bows are nice too, but Mike Mecredy at Maddog makes a great bow at a very reasonable price. I am totally with David Knipes on his recommendation of the Maddog Pup. The kids of some friends of mine had the same plastic bow shown in the pictures at the top of this thread. I bought the kids a Maddog Pup for Christmas. They love it. The plastic bow was immediately banished to the junk heap!

Thanks for the help guys! I guess I was looking in the wrong places, I was in catalogs and websites for the big archery suppliers....
Right around $100 would be the price tag... That Maddog bow sure looks real promising. I actually have to measure her draw length... probably changed since our last 'tradishunul shoot'!
Has anyone tried the Dryad child blank? From the website it says 'osage' only. Does this mean its more of a long bow 'self bow' type... I am looking for something closer to their 'fiberglass bow blank'. I think it would be fun to finish it together.
