i was in the roanoke va.gander mountain and was talking to the archery tech. whos name tag said "weasel" well anyhow we talked about archery and he hunts with traditional equipment,i mentioned i had never tried a long bow so he strung up a bear montana 50# longbow and let me have at it!
i also tried a bear recurve but I WANT A LONGBOW!!! it feels different than a recurve(ive been shooting my nomad stalker alot)and after shooting the montana im impressed. not sure i will get one now or if it will be a montana but i see a longbow in my future... [archer]

just bought my first longbow, picked it up six days ago and already in love with it. Had been shooting recurves since 1962. Always wanted one, figured I better not wait any longer. Something about them I just cant explain. I would suggest shooting as many as you can before buying. Mine is a Crow Creek Dalton 64" 48 lbs. at 29" fast, smooth and accurate

I shoot a long bow better then recurved bows, that is why I stayed with long bows... Good Luck with the long stick.

I got back into trad archery last year. A buddy brought me two recurves and two longbows to try. Once I shot the longbows that was it, didn't even want to shoot the recurves anymore. I'm hooked.

I too shoot a longbow. PSE Sequoia 50# at 28". The bow shoots better than I do. But I'm getting better every day. At times I feel when the shot is going to be good, And that feels great!
