Big Doe Down…….Well after about two and half weeks of hunting the farm and taking his homework to the tree stand every night, it finally paid off and God blessed Jean-Pierre with a beautiful big mature doe.
He made prefect shot at 16 yards with his Whispering Winds arrow and Abowyer Bone Head. The Hoots longbow with a SBD 8 strand bow string put the arrow on the mark and it took out the top of heart and broke the shoulder on the opposite side. Recovery was 53 yards with a blood trail that was not difficult to follow.
And by the way Jean-Pierre brought his report card today and all that studying in the tree stand paid off and got him High honors and 3.875 GPA. Jean-Pierre has once again made his Papa proud in more than one way.
To my best huntin’ buddy…..Congratulations and God Bless…
