Dang Mudd, if I'm not mistaken that was a sweet shooting little stick I gave ya. Now I'm trying to jump stated some of the grey matter between my ears If that bow was sinewed backed it was the first sinew bow I ever got made after John bow or was it Mike in OK pealed my first attempt at sinewing her off at MoJam the previous year. Oh well, we just need to smile and move on. Did you ever hit anything with it besides a target the size of a barn
By the way what's your hound name? You don't have him convinced he's a beagle now and are going to use him to chase hossenfeffer round the woods for ya. Some things just aint right and that might be one of them. Right next to you chasing that firetruck down the road in nothing but your white night gown at Mojam.
Speaking of that OK contingent, anyone ever hear from "The Hinge"? Last I heard he was last seen doing some unspeakable acts to the north west yew forest of Washington or was it Oregon
Hey Loyd how you been? Still making knives along with the arra flingers?
Talk to you all later

No sir Mr. Cooter. No sinew but something black, could have been died "Cooter Paper". It was definitely black and if it'd been sinewed that skinny little stick of a boy wouldn't have ever broken it.

Ok Mudd now you got me firing on one cylinder. I just have to give the other seven a rest from time to time. I remember that bow now. Yep one of the Cooter Skin jobs I did. The black coloring was actually ink from a sharpie felt tip pen.
MN state champ, that mean you get up to MN from time to time? If so, the next time your up this way we got to hook up for a laugh or two. Maybe even take you out look'n for some diamond willow in the local swamp if he's run any ware near my stomping grounds. I'd love to see him chasing tree rats from tree to tree. I just got to ask though, How do ya get him out of a tree 60 feet in the air if he slips and becomes wedged between two branches? I cant believe you shimmy up yourself to get him out. I'm not too sure the mightiest oaks around these parts could endure such increased stress in it's limbs. I think I now see you logic in you teaching these young'ns to shoot. So you can take them on squirrel hunts with ya for use as a dog retriever.

Now I think Mudd's one the finest gentleman a persons to ever meet. however, I think that Missouri sun got to him years ago. one time he sent me what he called some of the finest Missouri osage a mans ever set eye's on. I drooled in anticipation for about a week. I vividly recall the call from ma at work telling me a package arrived from Missouri. Took the rest of the day off work and rushed home to work on this beauty. Only to unpackage this twisted gnarled hideous piece of yeller wood. I still got it and wouldn't part with it for all the tea in china

Cooter you should feel privileged. You and Trashwood were the only two folks that I considered talented enough to get that beautiful bow out of it's package..lol That and I thought it might torment you..lol
It only took about a year but Trashwood really lived up to the challenge. He showed me a really nice yallerwood bow he made out of his. Did a also paint yours Ford blue? I know I did his because it remeinded me a an old Ford truck bumber... after it had been wrecked..lol I gave someone a prime piece that looked like a double yoke for oxen. For the untalented like myself, we use those natures works of art for a higher purpose. Keeping the family warm...lol God bless,Mudd
