My Kestrel is 43#@28", 54"AMO. Black Locust limb cores, wenge riser, tamo ash veneers and a beavertail grip. Very pretty, light and quiet as a feather and a sweet shooter. I am not the first owner but I suspect I am the last!

I just recently received my Kestrel that I ordered in march. Can't say enough good things about Mike. I would highly recommend his Kestrel. I am already saving for a recurve. Awesome bow, very smooth and a joy to shoot.

The first custom bow I bought after switching back to traditional was a Wild Horse Creek "Hawk" longbow. When I was at Compton's a few weeks ago I stopped in at Mike's booth, because I wanted to check out the "Kestral" .......I knew it was a mistake!(not really!) I ended up take it home with me. Mike makes a great bow. For me they shoot where I look and are very quiet and smooth. They shoot about the same speed as most of my other longbows do. I think my new Kestral will be heading to Nebraska on the PBS hunt this fall.
