Does anyone else have a plain bow they really like? I do. I have this plain Jain, Jim and Buddy 21st Century that I flat out cannot miss with. 66" incher.
I mean have you ever seen such a plain grip? I would have never ordered a grip like that, but dang is it stable!
I think the whole thing is made of red elm and fiberglass. That's it. But boy is she smooth.

I used to have a 60# Bear Montana longbow and I didn't care much for the way the grip felt blocky but I could shoot that bow very good.

That 21st century is the same model of bow that Keith Bain smoked many people for years at 3-D tournaments with. That "plain" looking grip is very accurate. Let me know if you ever want to sell it.

In your second picture of the profile of the bow you can really see how symetrical the limbs are. When Jim designed the bow he used three large circles and you see that in your second picture.

Those are very cool bows. I have had several of those through the years. I shot my first deer back in 1995 with a Shedua/carbon wood bow like yours. Brings back some memories. I sure miss Jim and Buddy and going to the shop and learning about all things archery and bow building. Those fellas were Ol school and great to visit with.

I have a Bear Montana 50# @ 28". I draw 29". It has a camo paint job and is as ugly as they come. I thinned the tips, reworked the grip on a belt sander and then put a rubber shur grip on it. Plain Jane is an understatement ....but when ever my shooting seems to go in the dumper, I can take it off the rack shoot it as well as a bow made by anyone. I paid $160 for it and I doubt I would ever sell it.......I might trade it for a 45#'er..lol!

I have a PSE spider or Widow I cant remember but it's 65# at my 30.5 and it is one heck of a longbow.Light great grip and quiet and smooth.
