Well, after serving as a pastor for the past 45 years, this Sunday I will be retiring from the schedule I have been keeping and "retire" from full time pastoral work but not from ministry altogether. Soooo, I gave Steve Turay a call and got myself a retirement present ordered. She'll be a 68" Shelton, Great Northern Mist green glass on bamboo cores and a myrtle riser, 48@28. Steve says she'll be ready in a couple of months. This is my third Northern Mist. I already own one Shelton and love the string follow feel. Thought I would drop dpown 3-4# since I must be gittin' old since I'm gittin' retarded. Posts: 2832 | From: Charleston, WV | Registered: Mar 2003

Good luck to you with the bow and certainly the retirement.
David, enjoy your time. You have earned it...

Congrats on your upcoming retirement. 3 1/2 years to go for me. Post a pic of that bow if you can when you get it. Sounds like a real beauty. Will that be a hunting bow?

Congrats on your retirement and your new bow David. Everytime I order/get a new bow, I call it my retirement bow. My wife still says "but you're only 37."

Owlbait, yes, it will be a hunting bow--all my bows are. Hopefully I'll have more time in the woods next year. Guys, thanks for the notes of congratulations. Didn't think many would respond, but that's the TradGang family! This is new ground I'm plowing now, never been retired before, hope I don't drive my wife crazy..... ...Dave

Congratulations on your retirement , and your upcoming bow very nice choice, I have a shelton as well excellent quality as always from Steve. Keys to a successful retirement I am told is a lot of activity, Hobbies, Etc. Learn to play golf if you do not already play -- play it for fun do not take it serious!!! Good Luck and Merry Christmas, Jerry.
