I did a search for the suggested brace height for a NM Whisper and it came back with "No results found"...go figure...lol
Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks in advance!
God bless,Mudd
PS: I didn't find it on NM's web page either.

when it comes to longbow brace height, most bowyers offer a recommended range but realize that each archer needs to do their own testing based mostly on arrow length ... but other things too, such as nock point, arrow plate distance proud of center shot, type of release (3 split, 2 split, 3 under, 2 under, etc). with a typical 64" to 70" hill style longbow, the bh typically falls between 6" and 7". i use a moveable nock point and move it up/down along with twisting the up/down the string length/brace height to see what gets the arras to fly best for me, and quietest for the bow. i start off with a 6-1/2" brace height and nock point bottom set 3/4" above square (the arrow nock goes under the nock point).
but y'all probably knew this stuff already.

Roy, The B.H. will be a tad higher than your normal setting as it is a forward handle. Try starting around 6 3/4" and go up from there. Nice bow, I love my Mist's.

Roy, I shoot my Whisper a tad over 7" brace height from the back of the grip.

i didn't realize the whisper was a reverse riser, which usually indicates a need for more brace height.

I set mt brace at 6&1/4 and adjusted my nocking point and now my arrows are flying as if on a string.
I love it when a bow just begs to be shot, even when it's a 100 degrees outside...lol
God bless,Mudd

I just shipped one back to Craig it was 70’’ Big 5 with a slight dish grip. Having it cut down to 68’’ and the grip changed to a straight grip and a redo on the finish and new leather. With the cut down it should increase the draw weight a little......stabow

i think it will increase the draw weight a lot, but maybe that's what you want. if not, i'd check with craig.

5# or more, easily - i think. but i'd think craig could work that off the limbs ...

That's funny I was playing with brace height yesterday. For some reason in my head I thought that my 68" hill was supposed to be around 6" well I checked captain jacks site and changed my BH to 6 1/2" and dang this bow shoots sweet. After about 50 shots with broad heads the decisions to shoot and hunt with just my hill is confer Ed to be correct.

Rob It’s a little on the light side for me now so 5-6# will be good I ask Craig to leave the weight alone after the cutting it to 68’’. That will make it in the high 40tys or low 50tys range......stabow
