Been shooting Zwickey 4-blade deltas for more than 30 years. Never had a problem with them. Punch a nice big hole in a critter. Easy to sharpen, including the bleeders.

They will be stuck very deep in the mud after passing through a deer.

Delta's are my choice, never lost a deer hit with one. Sharp is the secret.

Deltas are one of my all time favorites, tagged my first deer with one. The sun never sets on Zwickey broadheads.

I've shot a bunch of elk with the Delta two blader. Hit one that was steeply quartering away just in front of the hip. It came out alongside the neck. I didn't plan it that way but the elk moved when I shot. That's over three feet of penetration. Gary

I have used Zwickeys for years and they are a great head. The only problem I have is that the finish comes off easy and then they rust. For penetration they can hold their own against any other broadhead. [thumbsup]

If you are shooting them from the ground with a 70# bow at deer, you will have a problem. The problem will be finding your arrow because it will go so far after exiting the far side of the deer. From a tree stand, it will just be a matter of how far it will be buried into the ground.

Seriously.....I can't tell you how many deer I've killed with Z D 4 blades. The all passed through like they were made of paper unless I jammed the off shoulder...

As far as getting the bleeders sharp...piece of cake with a small fine tooth file.

Maybe this will help easy your mind a bit....

I passed through this #300 class shielded sow with a ZD4 from a 60# longbow....I'm sure you can get them through a deer. [campfire]

Terry, That about answers my question on penetration. I hope when I get to GA(hopefully by May 1st) I can get a little pig action with Delta.
