I'm sure alot of the Mississippi folks will be there but I won't due to prior obligations. Mississippi is prime for a very strong Trad event. There are quite a few of us here and alot of interest. Unfortunately, it seems there is no state-wide effort. For instance, I'm sure some of the guys I hunt with are unaware of this weekends event. I hope it's a great weekend for everyone and I also hope it's a great start to much bigger things!

I'm one of the ones who's unaware. Is it the Lofton shoot?

Hey Don, it is the Mississippi State Traditional Shoot in Brandon; hosted by the Central Miss. Traditional Archery Association(CMTAA).
30 target multi-round course with a 10 target hunter course. Here is the contact info: Kevin Brown 601-566-4255 or kevb512@comcast.net
I just found out about this shoot yesterday and I live only 45 minutes from Brandon. From what I read, they had about 70 participants last year and are expecting 100 this year. I didn't even know about CMTAA - but then I'm not overly social

I won't make it either, Jedi. I used to make all the big shoots, but home obligations keep me limited to day trips these days. I'm way up north, so I couldn't do it in one day.

James, if you see Odis there, tell him I said "howdy". Not sure if that's his club or not. If it is, you'll know it!

James, my work takes me over to Sharkey/Issaquena hospital from time to time. Love that country around Rolling Fork. I always see game in the fields. I never take the bow but the temptation is always there!
Don, if one of your day trips ever brings you down Carthage way & I can work it out, dinner is on me!
