I've been reviewing the Greatree bows today, Highlander and Osprey, which seem very similar to the Samick. Sound pretty good as well. Also come with inserts.

If you're looking for a simple fishing bow that's tough as nails, see if you can find a Bear 76er.

I picked up a #55 Sage just for bowfishing. It shoots great, has the AMO bushings for mounting the AMS reel, and only cost $130. This is my first trad bow. I've become addicted to shooting it in the backyard and plan on using it on a cow elk hunt this September.

I would recommend it for an inexpensive bowfishing rig.

i have used a samick deermaster for bowfishing and it worked good. had to use the traditional mount sold by ams as i do not like the thought of or looks of holes drilled into a nice wood riser
