Very rarely does a hunt come together for me on opening day and this one did. I think maybe because we have a two week old baby and my time to hunt was extremely limited. The turkeys were living up high in the mountains next to the snow line at 8000´ elevation. My friend that is a back country skier gave me the tip on the location. I shot the turkey with a black widow bow that I purchased here in the classifieds last month. It must have come from Alabama with some mojo! I just finished making some turkey nuggets tonight to top off the hunt; this whole experience put cabin fever down for good.
