Okay time to make a few people cry...including myself!
Friend just called and said he just bought the following: Bear Kodiak Special Serial # 2ZA27R 69” 37#
He said it had green glass and that it looked light green in color…what does he have? Said it looked to be in good shape just dirty…going to clean it up. I stated I knew a good person to refinish it if he needed…WHIP I might be giving you a call. . . . Get this…paid $3 at a garage sale from two older ladies. That wasn’t a typo…$3!
I told him the other day to look around for stuff like this!

When I go to sales I find old diapers and stuff that should go to the dump!!! Great find, maybe I'll get lucky one day.

Awesome find. We are kinda blessed here in Michigan with Bear being stationed here for so long. I'll bet there be plenty of finds like this in the future.

I don't know how you can live with yourself Oliverstacy....you better give it back...or if it makes you feel better just send it to me. I wouldn't want you to have this burden of guilt hanging over you.

I don't feel bad...It was a friend who found it!
He did ask if I could make a string for it...said sure it would be $100!

I picked up a little Bear Black Panther Hunter bow a couple years back. I was looking at a job and he had an old recurve laying on the garage floor. We started talking about it and he says " I picked up that one and another yesterday at a garage sale." I asked what the other one was and he goes out back and pulls this little bear bow out from between the rafters, up against the roof deck. Now this was in July in MO and I offered to double his money on that bow. He said ok so I had to give him $4 for it. I felt like I saved that bows life by getting it out of there where the heat would have destroyed it.

My best find was a mid 60's model 43# LH Red Wing Hunter, pristine, not a scratch on it, $30 at a local flea market. My other flea market finds, Bear K-Mag, Bear K-Hunter, Bear 76er, Wing Falcon, Shakespeare Ocala. The K-Mag and Wing Falcon were like new. I found a Pearson Hunter II at a yard sale once, paid $3 for it. I still hit the local flea market 3 or 4 times a month, but no luck as of late. Maybe I got em' all.
