I tried to tell you guys that Rob was aware of what the problem was and would be fixing it this morning!

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but what about searching for old topics from 2003 to 2006? I tried to look up a subject from a member who has passed on, but the search only went as far back as 2007. Does the search function have a cut off date?

No....there is no cut off date....there is a post count date...once 300 posts are found it wont list any past that.
We use to have to 'prune' topics due to server size years ago early on...if we would have had a server like we have now, we wouldn't have had to do that. The reason we did was also because back then so many folks were still on dial up...and the site was very slow for them. If we hadn't pruned we would have over a Million topics.
Who's post are you looking for?

thanx for bearing with us on this problem, folks.
trad gang and st judes are completely separate domains that share the same member list flat file. doing so, you're able to access both domains (trad gang and st judes) during the auction cycle.
now for the problem - if i sync trad gang's member list, all the member post history for trad gang is intact but disconnected from the st judes member post history. vice versa occurs when i sync the st judes member listing.
the fix is to concatenate the two domains into one, so i moved all the st judes forums over to trad gang and did another trad gang member resync and we're good to go. always something. you'd think this trad gang was a full time job.

Thanks for working that out Rob. Both my recent posts in My Profile and the search option using my user name produce the posts that were missing yesterday. Glad someone other than me has a handle on this tech stuff. I wouldn't have a clue what to do. We're back in business. Party on!!

For what it's worth, Rob and Tarz, thanks from all of us. Rob's words really stuck, "You'd think this trad gang is a full time job"
We pay nuttin but our volunteer $$$ and we get all this!
If it means anything, I sense that all of us really live this Trad Gang thing like it IS family and important enough that it's like breathing in some respects.
Thanks to you both and the mods for ALL that you do to make this the place it is!

Rob, it's about time someone on this site used the word "concatenate"...
