Northern CO for me with a few other Tradganger's. Hackbow will be getting to Indy from Pittsburgh Thursday 9/1 and we'll make the 18 hour drive for a backpack hunt until 9/11. I've got several spots marked on the GPS and pretty much have spent the last 2 weeks touring it on Google Earth. Putting the finishing touches on my elk missiles in the next couple days. I'm using the bow I received from the TG Bowyer's Bench bow swap.
I'm dialing it in and getting decent groups nowadays. I'm hoping to get out this weekend for a backpack squirrel hunt to test some of my long range shooting skills in the mountains of Indiana.

One week to go then off to Northern Colorado...The group has shrunk to just me and Charlie [Cyclic-Rivers] but we are going anyway and plan to have a good time on our first Elk adventure. Starting to pack and sort gear and checking things off the list!

I am giving them a go once again this year. Didn't draw a tag, so I bought a leftover cow tag for the Bighorns. Maybe this will be a lucky year. Sept 1 opening

I feel bad for you guys who are only hunting a week or so. Leaving NJ 8/29 and don't have to be back to work until 9/29! Drew a Unit 49 tag in CO and plan on getting one even if it takes about the whole season!! Good luck to everyone and a word of caution to the virgins, it's like other things in life, once you do it you can't stop
