I hunt only pressured deer on public land and really believe that Smokies helped me tag a nice 10 pointer last year . It has helped me locate and identify several nice bucks already but we have an earn a buck early season where we have to tag a doe first . I don't want to hunt where the bucks are and disturb them by taking a doe so I'm hunting other areas but have been unsuccessful so far . I will have to spend more time locating does next year , I'm almost tempted in tagging a roadkill . Just kidding .

i have had exactly zero luck with smokeys pre-orbital, doe and buck scents. i got all 3 at ETAR and i have used them all for two yrs now , drag ropes, licking branches, in front of trail cams, ( watch the deer walk right past it ) just doesnt seem to work for me. i still keep trying though

I got the lowdown (instructions)directly from Smokey, I'm even making fake rub lines...and I do have a buck trying to take over my scrapes.....AND he's added new ones in the area also right around my stand ...which had always been between two rub scrap lines....one along a thicket wall, and the other just off my property....I'm hoping I'm 'luring' them over to me....pardon the pun.
Until this season, I never really used scents for years.....gave up long ago after not seeing any real results.
I'll use the buck/doe drag rag Friday and Sunday.....

Just got some Pre Orbital in the mail 11-10-2011. Took it to a scrape and put a little on a licking stick and set the camera. Next morning this buck shows up. Camera set for every 10 seconds. No pics of him checking out the scrape. This stuff has my attention. Going to leave the area alone for a couple of days before I go back.

Of course there is no way to ensure that they check it out in the day time I guess. At least having them on/not on camera lets you know you are or aren't in the right area.
