There are so many falling here that I just ignore them. Never thought about them hurting as long as my hat is on. Now, I do worry about the hedge apples. I watched a squirrel clean out a walnut tree. He went from one to another cutting them all down.

That's alright guys. Go ahead and laugh. Just wait until one of these man-killing squirrels gets you in his sights (oops - no sights).

I feel for ya. I got hit square on the top of my head by a large hickory nut that fell from a very high branch. It scared me so bad, I almost passed out. I have not been right in the head ever since and I used to be taller than I am now.

Must have disturbed the resident squirrels! Seems like their aim is pretty good also. LOL

If, you're scared of acorns, don't sit under an osage tree when them osage balls fall.

I didn't say I was afraid of acorns. I'm just willing to concede they have a right to a space of their own and I wanted to make sure that space wasn't directly over my head. Live and let live; just hope those killer nuts feel the same.
