This appeared 4 days ago about 150 yards from the house.... This is not a small tree! I've not laid eyes on him yet but I'm pretty sure it's not from the spike or fork horn we have hanging around. I'm sure looking forward to making his acquaintance. [pray]

Nice rub. Pretty low though. Could it be a Couse deer?

Clay,

No Couse Deer at my house. I only live a few miles north of you and all we have is Blacktail.. Closest Elk are about 10 miles away, across the Lewis River above Woodland.... Definately a Blacktail!

Could be the neighbor. Didn't piss him off lately?

Good luck.

No the neighbors are happy with me at this point [ I think and certainly hope] [biglaugh] There are a few more rubs even closer to the house and all on good size trees. This one definately shows the most aggression [thumbsup] Guess I better becareful with the "Hot Doe Lure" on the boots.. He may want to get friendlier than I'm ready for [laughing]

This is definately the biggest rub I have found in the areas I hunt. [Eek!]

OuchiMama that is a big rub! Really miss hunting Blacktails,I still think the toughest to hunt.I'd be looking for a good tree to hang my stand in,play vulture and you'll get em!

That is one serious rub! Are there others around? Have you seen this deer?

Snag

Yes there others on similar sized trees even closer to the house, but they are not torn up quite to this extent.

Time to sit on the porch with a warm cup of Joe and greet him properly when he comes to visit.
