Just finished up this bone pointed primitive arrow. I never took a deer with "bone" yet ...but its time now. I have a Ohio doe tag to fill.
I made the arrow out of Red Osier (dogwood) 35 inches long for added #. The bone point is 1 inch by 2 1/4 long. The point /shaft tapper is done right.

I will shoot it out of My 55# Osage selfbow. I'll limit the shot too 15 yards or less. The point is very sharp in my opinion.

Doe pics too ..follow..I hope ! Thanks for looking.

Point was made fron fresh cow leg bone dried for a few months.

The arrow flies .."PERFECT" !

Looks nice!

Question is that wide enough to meet regs in your part of the country?

I drove a bone tipped viburnum shaft right under the belly of a buck, and 1" into a fallen hickory trunk. It took about ten minutes to carve it out of there, but it was intact and ready to shoot again. I never did connect with it though. Might be time to try again...
