I been through at least 3 brackets in the last 2 years. Does anybody use or have an alternative to this? Im willing to try a different bolt on quiver if anybody has a suggestion. One should never taper a screw hole on a plastic bracket!!
Suggestions??
Thanks Jason

Jason sounds like your over tightening the screws. Put a small fiber washer between your bow and the bracket and tighten snug works for me. TD.

The last one that broke, I had hardly no pressure at all. I would love to machine one out of aluminum but that wouldnt be to cost effective. 8^)

Are you using the rubber gasket behind the plastic bracket? I have them that are 10 years old and I got them used to start with. In all the years I have used them I think I had one break and I fixed that with super glue!

I think Im gonna go to the four arrow quiver. My Silvertip has inserts but they aren't flush...maybe that has somthing to do with it.

Jason put a couple of the rubber gaskets behind the quiver bracket. That should do it. To be honest have never heard of one breaking.

That is most likely your problem. Get some fiber washers to fill the gap (say a 3/8" bolt size) and use the rubber gasket. I believe the quiver comes with counter sunk screws but I've used both with no issue since the quiver first came out in the 70's.

I have broken three over the years.I started putting rubber O rings behind the brackets were the screws go through. This is especially helpfull if the bow inserts are not completely flush with the wood. Haven't broken one since I started doing this.

Sergio, the last one I took off was definitely not tight. The only reason I noticed, my arrows were rattling. I went to snug it up and noticed it was cracked...I mean spiderwebed. I dont know, maybe it is me! 8^)
