FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS I HAVE HOSTED A HOG HUNT FOR A FRATERNITY OF 12 TRADITIONAL BOWHUNTERS ON A LARGE RANCH IN WEST TEXAS.THESE GUYS COME FROM ALL DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE COUNTRY.ALONG WITH THE REGULARS A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT GUYS COME EACH YEAR.WHAT I HAVE NOTICED IS THE DISPROPORTIONAL NUMBERS OF LEFT HANDED TRADITIONAL HUNTERS.USUALLY AT LEAST 50% ARE LEFTIES AND ON OCASSION THEY OUTNUMBERED THE RIGHT WINGED BOYS.STATISICALLY LEFTIES COMPRISE APROX 16 % OF THE POPULATION SO I WAS CURIOUS TO KNOW IF ANY OF YOU HAS NOTICED THIS CORRELATION TO LEFTIES AND TRADITIONAL ARCHERY IN YOUR GROUPS OR MAYBE A COINCIDENCE IN MY CASE.JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

Us lefties are the only ones using our right mind. I don't shoot a bow left handed but do most other things left.

I might be considered 'strange' since I shoot a Wheelie right handed and Trad Left handed. No trouble doing either one.

I'm left handed but due to being right eye dominant I do archery right handed. I haven't noticed an abnormal number of lefties in my area or group.
Just a friendly FYI, Jacob... all caps is difficult to read and on the internet is considered yelling.

I started out shooting RH, even though I was LED and shot very well. I wondered if I'd shoot any better LH so I gave it a shot and within a month it just felt natural. Now I can shoot both ways without missing a beat. Pretty cool if u ask me....

Let's face it. Trade archery attracts the elite portion of hunters. The challenge is greater. Left handed people, me being lh, are definitely superior thus the higher % of lh shooters. The league I shot in had 2 lefties out of ten. The group of people I know in trade though has a fairly high number of us.

Thanks for the heads up Grey.It is interesting the feedback on the different ways people shoot regardless of eye dominance or left/right handedness.I have to admit crotch horn that it is a pleasure to be around those gifted people...plus I am able to shoot their bows!
