I bought a small box of archery accessories for a dollar at a garage sale. There was an old MA3 broadhead in it. I got it sharpened up but the ferrule is full of old glue gunk. Picking it out is taking forever. Any suggestions?

You might heat it to see if that loosens some.After that you could put a rifle bore brush in a drill and run that through.Put the broadhead in a vice or vice grips while doing this.

Get yourself a 10/32 nut or die and run it up and I will clean the threads. OOps thought it was a screw-in. My bad

Propane torch. Can't vouch for what is does to the metal temper, but I've burned out old epoxy when switching adapter weights with no ill effects that I'm aware of. Also use tapered grinding stones with Dremel tools.

I've found the propane torch method works good. You don't have to apply alot of heat, just enough to weaken bond of the epoxy. Most of the old epoxy will come out easily by scraping with an old knife. Then I take a small piece of 120 grit sand paper and make a cone shape with it and sand inside the broadhead.
