I can't wait! This will be my first time hunting them in the spring with a recurve. I hunted them this while deer hunting.

I am normally chomping at the bit this time of year waiting for turkey season but this year is a little different. The turkeys have all but abandoned our hunting ground (I am assming because of the drought and lack of available water). I am going on Red Stag hunt in Australia in April and that has my mind pretty consumed right now.
I sure hope the turkeys show back up by the middle of April when I get back home.

Looking forward to chasing them come April. I'm going to Ray's in April as well, so a little more focused on that. Still looking forward to turkey hunting some!

Oh yeah. I was reading an article this last weekend about turkey hunting. I was in the nice spring woods with the author, I could hear the turkey's gobble. Then I looked outside at the 6 inches of snow and just shook my head. I can't wait for spring!

I have a turkey/hog hunt set for April in Texas. I hope to add a Rio Grande to my turkey tally. Then, I'll be headed home to Wyoming for (hopefully) another Merriam's.

I'm hoping to have a shot at it this spring, where I grew up there really weren't turkeys to hunt but if I can find a place for it I'd really like to take my longbow out hunting this spring.

Never killed a turkey with my recurve (or with anything for that matter) but would love to. Came close a few years ago. Still looking for my first. Good hunting everybody, Jason
