Has anyone heard from Fred or received his new book? I bought the book for the free one year membership in Compton's and am wondering when the book will arrive. Any update would be appreciated. Thank you.

The books were being shipped from the Asbell's to Craig Schoneberg, the Compton Membership chairman. He will be doing shipping directly to you for the orders received. I do show your order coming in, and will check with Craig on the status of book shipments.
We have really been inudated with orders for Fred's book and that is fantastic! This offer has been a huge success. If we run a little slow please try to remember we are just a bunch of volunteers with no paid staff. (And we like to hunt turkeys as well ).
Rest assured that we will do the best we can to get your books out as soon as possible. Thank you for your support of Compton Traditional Bowhunters!

Grouseshooter002, I received the books from Teresa on April 24th or 25th - the books were mailed out on April 26. I sent them through the Post Office - using 'Media Mail'. I have checked with the them and they say it will take at least a week for the book to arrive.
If for some reason your book and membership card haven't arrived by Friday contact me at membership@comptontraditional.com.
As Whip said, Thank You for supporting Compton Traditional Bowhunters. Craig

Craig, Sorry if I sounded upset. I'm not and just to let you know I received my book today. Joe, I offer you and the others a sincere thank you for all that you do for the trad community and I apologize to all for being grumpy, but I am an old man.

Oh, I didn't take it that way at all Grouse. Just anxious to receive the book and making sure everything was on track. Normally we would try to have a quicker turnaround, but we started the offer before Fred had even signed and shipped the books to Craig, so it did get delayed a bit.
Welcome to Compton, and enjoy the book!

Grouse, I didn't take it as you being upset either. Since I knew there was a delay, since I had everyone's email address from the PayPal payments, I should have sent everyone an email letting them know when to expect the books. I've started doing that now. As they say, 'hindsight is 20-20'. Craig
