What a shocker! At full draw, a sickening sound, something nicking me under the eye, pieces on the floor and me holding the remains in my hand. Two days (maybe more) of mourning...
What remains of my 1967 LH Bear Super Kodiak Magnum. 48#@28".
In better days:
Lucky I wasn't hurt... I guess.

Glad to hear you didn't get hurt. They don't make more of those every day, but there are still a fair number around. Inquisitive. what's your draw length?

If that were mine id build a form based on the good side, sand thst riser down to get all the glass, lams, and glue off it and remake it. Take more time making the form than doing the rest, just take exact measurements of stack and widths of the limb.

I'm glad you did not get hurt brother! I lament the loss of your '67 Kodiak magnum but I'm glad that all is well with you and more importantly... That you can tell the story with no injury! God has blessed you brother!

Glad your OK, but ill say one thing brother, when you do it, you do it up right! LOL Thats a crying shame right there, that was a beautiful bow, sorry for your loss. The pain of losing the bow was far less than the pain of personal injury. Good luck finding one to replace it.
