I agree with Tippet and I get a lot of satisfaction out of restoring the bow to it's original beauty when season is over.

Charlie,
I remember a Texas Sweat that we went into town so you could get some coarse sandpaper cause you didn't like the shine of your bow [biglaugh]

Course you made the bow and could refinish it later [Wink] tippit

Be careful. I used one of those easily removable paints back in the 70's, but when I later tried to remove it, I found out it is not so removable after all. That bow still has blothches of paint on it. Since then, I don't paint any of my equipment.

I'm making my wife a selfbow and she wants it pink. What would be a good paint choice that would last? Years ago I painted an old recurve with spray paint and that thing flaked and looks horrible. Thanks...

Ben, you might try staining instead of painting. How's the knee holding up?

Brandon, I will try to find some pink stain, I did not realize that they made pink. Thanks...

The knee has seen it's better days, I played too rough when I was a youngster between rodeo, ranching and football my knees have been through the ringer.
