Heading up to see my dad for a week in Northern Alabama and I was just wondering if there are any ranges or shops up around that area? [campfire]

Not any traditional shops. There are a couple of small archery shops outside of town but it's been years since I've been to either. One is O'dell's Archery. They used to have a place to shoot out back. The other place is owned by Alan Conner and I can't remember the name of it. It's on hwy 431, a few miles south of town.

2X for Odell's archery. Larry and Yvonne are really good people, don't know if they are into trad archery.

They're not. My dad, mom, and I used to shoot some tournaments with them. My parents helped run their shop occasionally when they were out of town. Last I heard their business wasn't doing well, but I think they're still open.

If you stop in, tell them Scott Wright sent you.

Go to the Alabama Conservation website. www.outdooralabama.com
There are some new Archery Parks up that way. You ought to be able to find out on their site. If you can't find a list, try the contact link and ask them about it.
They're good folks, and some of the DCNR folks shoot bows.

Awesome thanks guys, my dad's got pretty good chunk of land up there so plenty of room to shoot there as well, if anyone is close and wants to swing by to shoot and hang out for a bit just send me a pm, always looking to meet more trad people [Smile]

He's also got a KILLER grill and I'm sure we can whip something up [Big Grin]
