FINALLY,My custom ambush recurve from Chuck at TwoTracks Bow and Wool company arrived. This bow is short and SAWEET!! I contacted Chuck in late april, and I gotta say Chuck is a great guy to work with and offers customer service second to none! He even gave me a free extra string because of a mixup in the order that was really no big deal but he made it right anyways, now thats customer service! I wanted a bow heavy enough to take any big game but light enough to be comfortable drawing and holding at draw so i ordered it 60lbs @ 28, i draw 28. The bow is osage orange core with brown glass and rosewood handle and riser and i think its a true beauty and work of art, and bow what a shooter too!! Smooth, FAST like lightning fast, surprisingly quiet for a recurve. I think alot of that has to do with Chuck's cool little felt silencers he makes which are definitely worth a try on a noisy bow. I wouldn't hesitate a minute to order another bow from chuck and would highly recommend him for anyone whose on a budget but still wants a beautiful custom bow that can out perform many more expensive ones. I can't wait for labor day now so I can slay some piggies with this beast! and then deer season this fall! Here's some pics, sorry they're crappy they're off my iphone thats all i have. hope you guys like it as much as I do!

Congrats! Beautiful bow! Chucks work always looks good. I am originally from Michigan and sometimes think back to the all Michigan wood bow he made a while back.

Thanks guys! I hadn't shot it much when i wrote the review. Just got done shooting it some more, and WOW!! If it shot any faster it'd break the sound barrier! Pretty darn accurate too! I put three arrows within a silver dollar sized dot in only my second group of arrows at about fifteen yards. I have to comment also that i shoot it 3 under and feel no pinch at all. also, personally, i think the grip is one of the best i've shot.

Chuck puts a lot of thought, design, research, and craftsmanship in every bow he builds and that Ambush is a perfect example of that! Congratulations on picking the right bow AND the right bowyer. [thumbsup]
