Cade and I were invited to bowfish with our good friend Terry Receveur Last Friday.
He'd planned a trip with Charlie(cyclic river) and asked if we'd like to come along...we jumped at it, we always have a great time with Terry!
Captain Cade!
Look at the smile!
Calm before the storm...
It took us a while to find the fish, we were looking in the weeds beds where the carp usually are...but we happened to figure out that they were only along the rocky shorelines for some reason.
First fish in the boat, and a nice one!
Terry and Charlie helping Cade land his first of the night...
Then Charlie hit one and his line broke! Terry quickly found the fish laying on the bottom with Charlie's arrow in it. Cade was quick to help out and get an arrow into Charlie's fish and got his arrow and the fish in for him!
Cade got another one...luv this pic!

Earlier in the evening we were talking about Mirror carp and how none of us had never seen one in all our years of bowfishing.
Terry got another carp in the spotlight and Cade lined up to shoot...he missed...and as the they fish darted away I quickly shot and missed and the fish stopped!
I reeled as quick as I could and shot again at the still fish and drilled it!
As I got it to the boat, Terry said..."that looks like one of those Mirrors!"
As I got control of it I got a good look at it and he was right....my first Mirror carp!!
What a cool trophy!
Charlie with a couple more...
A "thick" one...
What a fun night we were having...

Last fish of the night....Cade was trying my bow, so he wasn't shooting his special tipped arrow that I make for him.
He wanted to see if he could shoot a regular arrow and tip. He drilled this fish right behind the head, but the arrow hung up on a scale at the shoulder of the barb! He'd ""stoned the fish, but didn't have an arrow in it!
Once again Terry found it laying on the bottom and I shot it with Cade's bow as it was getting under the boat....Cade had his fish!
Who would have thought we'd get a "Mirror" after talking about never even seeing one in all our years!
An outstanding night of bowfishing!!
Can't thank Terry enough!! And Charlie, thanks for letting us "tag along"....can't wait to do it again!!!!!

Gee Curt, it appears that the fella's let you shoot all the easy targets (the big ones) while they took the harder shots (the small ones) great shooting guys, looks like you all had a blast!
